You Can Pay for Laptops and Smartphones Using Sheep in West China

An electronics dealer in Kashgar, Xinjiang has recently started accepting a rather old form of payment in return for his gadgets: sheep. Tech in Asia reports.

quotemarksright.jpgAccording to the China Daily, 29-year-old Huang Jie decided to start accepting sheep as a way of encouraging rural people in the region to buy gadgets, and making them seem affordable by putting their prices in terms that were more relatable.

As of June 2, apparently no one has yet actually paid for an electronic device using sheep, but Huang must be hoping itís a matter of time.quotesmarksleft.jpg
