Firms spent $3 billion on mobile ads in the US in the first half of 2013
More companies are spending more money to get your attention as you stare down at your mobile device through the day. arstechnica reports.
Or, put another way, mobile advertising spending in the United States tripled to $3 billion in the first half of 2013, according to a new study conducted by the Interactive Advertising Bureau released on Wednesday.
Other new figures show that Internet ad revenue is soaring, reaching $20.1 billion in the same time period. That's a bump of 18 percent over the first half of 2012.
